This is a fast-paced, creative vinyasa flow class that is attainable for all levels. Modifications will be provided for beginners as well as the advanced student looking to challenge their practice. This is a slow-paced flow class that provides all students with deep alignment instruction and breath control. It’s a great way to learn how to connect deep breathing techniques with the asanas (the physical practice) of yoga at a much more accessible speed. The class will involve some challenging strength building, but will also provide a well-rounded amount of relaxation. This class is designed for all levels.
This is an alignment-based yoga class where the use of blocks and straps is encouraged for the individual to find proper and safe opening within each asana. Poses are held for several breaths and connected with flowing transitions. As we work to find deep alignment and smooth, even breath in our asana practice, we are able to access and awaken subtle energies within the body that connect with the mind and spirit, giving us a deep sense of peace and clarity. This is a perfect class for all levels and especially those looking to discover the therapeutic benefits of adding props to their practice. This class will be structured like our regular Urban Om Flow classes and is great for all levels.
This is a fast-paced class that will experiment with creative transitioning between arm balances, strengthening stability in inversions and breaking down your own boundaries. It’s meant to be a silly approach to exploring your practice. Some yoga experience is necessary; this class is not suitable for beginners, but advanced students are encouraged to come with a beginner’s mind in order to push themselves into a deeper understanding of what the body and mind are capable of doing. Yin is designed as it is a counter balance to yang or an active/busy lifestyle and helps to relieve chronic muscle tension, inflammation and pain. Deep stretching floor poses are sustained between 2-5 minutes to open the connective tissue, benefiting the joints, fascia, bursa, ligaments, and tendons of the body (the Yin tissues). The class is a mix of passive seated, reclined, and prone postures for all levels. The perfect practice for those seeking a gentle approach to yoga.
