Core Essence Yoga’s 200 Hour Teacher Training Program is a foundational program rooted in Ashtanga yoga (the eight limbs), with an emphasis on the limb of asana, primarily vinyasa flow. This training will provide students with the knowledge, practice, and experience to become inspiring, creative, and knowledgeable teachers. This training is open to all students who would like to become certified teachers or for individuals who seek greater knowledge about yoga to deepen their practice.

All classes are held at Urban Om or other designated locations. The training will focus on history and philosophy of yoga, and combine an in-depth study of significant yoga texts, practices and writings. The training will provide a detailed study of the asana practice, proper alignment, proper cueing and teaching practices, including, hands-on adjustments and an understanding of the physical body and its needs. Combined with a rich study of anatomy, including both the physical and energetic framework and structures of the body, and an in-depth study of meditation, pranayama, and asana techniques and practices. Students who graduate the Core Essence Yoga teacher training become stronger in their own personal yoga practices and are expertly prepared to teach yoga to others. Many have gone on to lead international and national retreats and workshops, open their own studios, teach locally in their yoga communities, create and facilitate corporate wellness programs and corporate yoga programs, and have a stronger, deeper connection to self in their own practices.  Discover how empowering this training course can be for your own practice and intentions.
